A tutor for several years, I've helped my younger siblings to understand subjects and was asked by my middle school teachers to walk around and help with what was being taught. I was excelling in most subjects by high school. My fellow peers began asking if I could help them outside class and it made me happy to tutor them in troublesome subjects and concepts. As their faces went from confusion and frustration to clarity and understanding, I would get a feeling of joy.Even while a student baseball athlete at the university, my teammates would ask me for help with their coursework. They would refer me to other students and athletes and I continued working with students at all levels until I recently graduated. I still enjoy helping them with their schoolwork, which I think stems from the desire to help people whenever I can. Being social, approachable, enjoying interaction, and being easy to get along with helps too. I believe that's helped me better work with so many students and to cater to their academic needs.I look forward to tutoring many more people. Tutoring and sports give me great joy, but I also love music and movies.
